In collaboration with the Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (ACTO) of the City Government of Naga, the project is organized by Filipino Wikipedians in Bicol region and Wikimedia Philippines, the Philippine local chapter. The project aims to create a venue where the rich Bikolano heritage can be preserved, easily accessed and promoted; and to create an avenue for the active participation of individuals, groups and institution in the promotion and preservation of Bikol Culture, Arts, etc. Specifically, this activity aims to create awareness of the immense potential of Bikol Wikipedia to be a medium of exchange and preservation of the Bikolano heritage; and to highlight the biographies of champions and guardians of Bikolano culture and arts.

Bikol Wikipedia Exhibit and Bikolano Digital Heritage Launching will happen during the National Arts Month celebration of the City Government of Naga in February 2013.

The exhibit will run from February 4 to 28, 2013. Exhibit panels will feature Bikol Wikipedia articles on culture and arts.During the launching of Wikipedia's Bikolano Digital Heritage on February 18, there will be an orientation on what Wikipedia is and presentation of the crucial role Bikol Wikipedia plays in the promotion and preservation of Bikol Culture and Arts. The project aims to increase number of Bikol Wikiperia articles, videos, music and other media.

Visitors, students, organizations and institutions are aimed to have better understanding of Bikol Wikipedia’s role. The exhibit shall establish linkages with defenders and champions of Bikolano culture and Arts. More people will be able to access or contribute to Bikol Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons.

We will consider this project a success if the activity reach the target of at least 200 visitors during the entire duration of the exhibit.
