English: The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) RO1 supported gender equity by holding the 2018 Gender Summit held at Oasis Country Resort, City of San Fernando, La Union on May 04, 2018 with the theme: Mainstreaming Gender Issues in the Curriculum. Dr. Eugenio “Boy” Abunda Jr, the guest speaker, explained how culture influences the people in the modern era. He said that culture is static, and the people should be open to accept the atmosphere of the present generation in a manner that preserves the rights and character of an individual and not forgetting to safeguard the Filipino values.
