Taksonomiya

An species enot na niladawan Scolopax limosa, ni Carl Linnaeus kan 1758. An siyentipikong ngaran hali sa Latin na an ibig sabihon "malaboy", na hali sa limus, "laboy".^[2] An Ingles na ngaran enot na naikurit kan 1416–17 asin tinutubudan na inaarog an apod kan gamgam.^[3]
